Virginia Yanquilevich
CEO of Dopper
Here is a reminder of why we exist.
Dopper was a movement before it became a company. That's something we've tried to carry with us since the beginning. More than a bottle company, we are a company with a mission: to create a world where everyone has access to drinking water and refills from the tap.

Our Travel Mug is the first result of this shift. Built for today’s conscious consumer, it handles hot, cold, and sparkling drinks without compromising on our industry-leading production standards. It also takes our mission beyond bottles, tackling single-use waste on the go.
We recertified the Original, our first and most iconic bottle with the highest Cradle to Cradle Certified® standard. Recertifying under Version 3.1, is a result we're incredibly proud of because it required us to meet new chemical restrictions and renewable energy targets.

In 2023, we conducted a behavioural study across the Netherlands, Belgium, and France. The results showed that people who owned a Dopper bottle bought 104 fewer single-use plastic water bottles per year.
Based on last year’s sales number, our guaranteed lifespan, and the average weight of a single-use bottle, this means that last year we prevented 16,329,222 kg of plastic waste. For a full overview of our math, see the Appendix in our report.
Having access to clean drinking water is a privilege. That's why since the very beginning, Dopper has donated 1% of its revenue to clean drinking water projects in Nepal.
60 of 120 water schemes now test quality regularly
Local water testing lab is fully operational
Dedicated water safety team and official policy now in place
Improved water access: 3 clinics, 9 schools, 1 office
200 villagers trained in safe water management

Together with Publyon, we tackled two major topics. First, pushing for policy that prioritises reuse over recycling. The circularity conversation in the Netherlands leans too heavily on recycling as the answer, when reuse has a lower environmental impact.
Second, exposing the fact that bottled water is taxed lower than tap water, a public service. This tax discrepancy effectively subsidises single-use and penalises the sustainable alternative.
