What do you do when you want to ban single-use water bottles from sports? You team up with some bad-ass athletes to shake the system. Big words? You bet. And we mean every single one. Imagine your next football practice. Get changed, warm up, kick ass, shower, team drink, (alright, one more), and home. Now count the amount of single-use water bottles in that scenario. And there you have it. The reason we are taking a stand, and our trailblazers with us.

Turning the tide Because it’s not just your changing room, your football field or your sports canteen where single-use water bottles are polluting the view. The same thing is happening across all sports. All over the world. Yikes. The good news? Together, we can turn the tide. We’re empowering sportspeople everywhere to choose reusable over single-use water bottles. We’ve even created a sport cap that transforms your Dopper into a water bottle fit for medal winners. You’re welcome.

But enough about us. Meet the athletes of the hour. Our fierce new friends already signed up to keep single-use water bottles out of their sport.

Ivika Jürgenson - We’re thrilled to have Ivika on board. And not just because we’d like to vacation in her hometown. Ivika is a pro (street) snowboarder, doing what she does best both on the slopes and in the streets. During her sessions, she noticed a huge amount of single-use plastic bottles. So, she took action. “It’s something so easy to change. That’s why I decided to join Dopper this year. I want to make sure there are no single-use plastic bottles on my slopes anymore.”

Luca Bellucci – Yoga can be a sweaty situation. Eight-angle pose anyone? After studying how yoga impacts the human body, yoga teacher Luca is conscious that a healthy body and mind can only be achieved through good practice. The same goes for healthier oceans. That’s why he’s making sure there are no single-use plastic bottles in his yoga studio. Not on his watch.

Mariëtte Huls - How many single-use plastic water bottles fit on a football field? None, is the answer you’re looking for. Because there’s no room for ugly waste in this game of beauty. (Ronaldo, if you’re reading this…) And so Mariëtte and her team are speaking up. For P.E.T. free pitches, and plastic free oceans.

Are you ready to kick single-use plastic water bottles out of your sport? One game, race or yoga session at a time? Join team P.E.T. free. No try-outs required, but bring your commitment. And maybe a Dopper. To make sure there are no more single-use water bottles on your court, field, pool, gym, mat, track or ice rink. Not on your watch.
